Job description

Developer at Looklet

Looklet developers are a select group of world-class engineers whose backgrounds range from entrepreneurship in the open source world, skilled autodidacts, as well as developers of Java. We offer the opportunity to work in a unique, energetic, highly cross-functional environment that prizes innovation and creative thinking.

Being a small team, every developer truly makes a difference, working with front-end and back-end, as well as creating and modifying GUIs of internal and external tooling. The backend platform is deployed on top of Google Cloud Platform, automatically scaling to reflect our client’s seasonal demand as well as giving us a platform for easy deployment. The main programming language is Java 8, with advanced image recognition algorithms implemented in C++, and web front ends in Javascript.

Other technologies used includes Spring Boot, Redis, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Tomcat and RabbitMQ.

We are developing a DevOps culture and platform, and to support this we are using technologies like Jira, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Alpine, COS, Ubuntu, StackDriver, Kibana, BigQuery, and Google Data Studio.

To facilitate idea discussions and debates, our development team is housed in one location in the heart of Stockholm at Medborgarplatsen. Here, all 80 of your soon to be colleagues are easily accessible within a few short meters roll of your chair.
